We are looking for Committee Members!
Would you like to lead the Dutch Delegation for the International Erasmus Games? Maybe you feel more at home in the field of HR? Or do you want to show your design skills to our followers? Do you love organizing events? Or do you want to represent ESN The Netherlands in international events?
Look no further, because we are opening the positions for IEG Coordinator and the National Committees of 2019/2020!
We are looking for the following positions:
The IEG Coordinator is responsible for the team of ESN NL that goes to the International
Erasmus Games. Depending on the interest of the sections, an IEG Coordinator would be
able to organize a national selection round to select the most viable participants and lead
the delegation of ESN NL at the IEG.
While the main focus of this position is the IEG, we highly recommend applicants to view
this as part of the larger ESN cause of health and well-being. That is why the eventual IEG
Coordinator is strongly encouraged to explore ways of implementing health & well-being
in more ways than just the IEG.
The Training Committee has laid some important cornerstones for the future coaching of
ESN volunteers. These include the planning of a Training Event, the collection of
Workshop outlines, the assembly of a Trainer pool, and the preparation to collect the
sections needs for future training. The next great plan - and this is why we renamed the
committee - is to finally develop a solid HR strategy. Next to this, the HR committee will
help sections with their HR-related problems. This can be in a way of training them, giving
them templates or brainstorming together about solutions.
To improve the visibility of ESN, PR is vital. The Communication Manager plays a big role
in this regard, but we also need a committee to support the Communication Manager. If
you are interested in, or experienced with promotion and design, then do not hesitate to
apply for the PR Committee! You’ll be working together with the Communication
Manager to increase the visibility of ESN The Netherlands!
National Activity Committee:
For the past few years, ESN NL has organized large-scale trips to Prague and Berlin for
400 to 1200 participants. In addition, the committee has organized a Kingsday weekend.
During this weekend international students from all over Europe were invited to
Amsterdam to experience King’s Day and get to know the city. ESN NL values the National
Activities as it brings all sections together and enables smaller sections to offer large
events to their students as well. On top of that, it is important for the network as a whole
as it brings many opportunities. For the upcoming year, we are looking to professionalize
the committee further and offer our sections and students better and higher quality trips
than the past years.
The International Committee and its members support the National Board in the
representation of sections on the international level of ESN. Due to our shift to a more
federal structure, keeping the local level engaged in international topics is more important
than ever. This committee is in charge of informing and consulting the Dutch sections
regarding all relevant topics related to ESN International. Through this position, you get a
chance to learn more about the national and international levels of ESN. Additionally, you
can really get to know our entire European network and its volunteers on all levels!
Are you interested in the international level of ESN, and do you want to take a leading
position in this committee?
