Buying a ticket
When can I buy my ticket for this trip?
The ticket sale starts on Wednesday the 1st of March at 19:00 o’clock. Last year tickets sold out within a day so make sure you are on time.
Can I purchase my ticket at an ESN office?
No. You can only purchase a ticket online.
What are the payment methods?
You can pay by iDeal, Mister Cash, Sofort, VISA, Mastercard,American Express and Paypal.
Do I need to make the full payment immediately?
Yes, the full amount has to be paid in in order to complete the registration.
Are tickets transferable or refundable?
Tickets are non-refundable. However, we will be happy to complete name changes up until 1 week prior to departure.
Can I buy more than one ticket at a time?
Yes, you can buy up to 5 tickets at a time.
Should I print my ticket?
Not necessarily. You could also bring your ticket digitally. This way, an ESN member will be able to scan your ticket as well.
About the trip
What are the locations of the bus departures?
You will be picked up in the city of your local ESN/ISN section. The exact location will be communicated to you in a later stage.
What time are we departing to Berlin?
The departure time will be in evening of the 4th of May. All departures will be between 22:00 and 0:00.
What time will I be back at home?
The planning is to be back home on Monday the 8th of May early in the morning (before 06:00). You won’t have to miss class this day.
Is the program mandatory?
The program is not mandatory. You are free to do as you please :) However if you are late for certain activities, it might be that you are unable to join or have to pay the entrance fee again.
Can I get more information regarding the accommodation?
We will be staying in these hostels: the Metropole Hotel and Industriepalast. The room sizes vary, but most of them have between 4 and 10 beds. Breakfast is provided in all hostels.
Can I be in a room with my friends?
On the bus towards berlin the rooms will be allocated depending on the amount of people that are departing from that city. We will try our best to put everyone in a room with their friends, however it is possible some groups will be split differently.
What should I bring on the trip?
Legal ID: the borders are checked regularly and hostels in Berlin may require to see it as well
Snacks and drinks for on the bus (please keep it tidy in the bus!)
Comfortable clothes for the trip in an overnight bus
How can I register for extra activities?
A link will be sent to everyone a few weeks before departure with a list of all the activities the ESN sections and Yes-Trips have set up. Some of them are for free, but may require you to register in order to prepare for the amount of students that would want to join.
