I studied psychology after High school and decided to combine this with a bachelor Health sciences. I'm almost done with the bachelor psych and going to start my master in Health and Social Psychology while I will be acting as president for ESN the Netherlands. After becoming an active member for ESN Maastricht two years ago I really wanted to do more for my local section. I became president there last year and had the time of my life. The vibe throughout ESN the Netherlands is something I can only describe as amazing, both local as national. After the AGM I became increasingly aware of the potential the international network has to offer for both the sections and the students. Because of the good times I had last year, I decided to run for president of ESN the Netherlands.
I will try to focus on maintaining the strong connection the sections of the Netherlands had with each other last year. On top of this I'll try to put more emphasis on the importance of the international network and our projects. In my case I will be the coordinator for PRIME in the Netherlands in which my main goal is to see what problems exchange students face in the Netherlands.
I hope you all have a great stay in the Netherlands. Try to visit as much of the country as you can, cause our country has a lot more to offer than our beautiful capital Amsterdam. Even though you'll arrive in a small country, you'll soon enough discover that getting bored is far from easy. ESN will make sure you have the time of your life.
